Meridian mayor takes reins on fire hydrants project

Meridian City Council met in regular session on Monday, March 14 where once again the big topic of the evening concerned the city’s fire hydrant repairs. When Eagle Eye Construction bid on the project they did not include the price of valves on the hydrants.

With Meridian Police Department back to full staff, new addition to the force Gage Guinn has taken on the code enforcement position as part of his duties. “We’re getting ready to ramp up our code enforcement efforts in the city,” Guinn said.

Bosque County Sheriff Trace Hendricks planned town hall meetings throughout the county to deliver a state of the department to residents, and though COVID-19 slowed those plans, Hendricks attended the March meeting of the West Shore Civic Association in Laguna Park to do just that.
