Tuesdays weekly 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. – The Golden Gathers meet for food, fun and fellowship at the Memorial Library located at 201 N Main Street in Meridian.

Bosque Museum will present a closing reception for its popular temporary exhibit Say Yes to the Dress: A Community Exhibit, taking place on Saturday, October 29 at 2 pm. The event will feature traditional wedding style snacks including wedding cake and Jordan almonds, and will culminate in the announcement of the most popular dress in the exhibit.

Consistently supportive of local law enforcement, the Bosque River Valley, NSDAR, enthusiastically chose as their 2022 Day of Service project to purchase and deliver bottles of water and Gatorade to all local law enforcement in Bosque County. The bottled drinks were delivered to all eight law enforcement offices in the county.

Bosque County Genealogical & Historical Society’s last program of the year will feature awardwinning speaker and distant nephew of Charlie Goodnight, Andy Wilkinson. His presentation is entitled “On the Trail of Goodnight.” The meeting will be held on Saturday, October 8, at 1:00 p.m.

The District 12 Texas Retired Teachers Association met on Tuesday, September 20, in Waco at the Region 12 Service Center. All fourteen chapters were represented with 80 members present.
