Despite winning their first district championship in two decades, the Meridian Yellowjacket boys basketball team saw their celebration cut short by a surprising loss.
Putting on a dominating performance, the Jackets sank the Iredell Dragons, 67-35 last Tuesday to capture clinch the District 20-1A title, their first championship since the 2002-03 season.
