The Clifton Cubs varsity baseball squad split two games on consecutive days last week, first earning an 8-5 win over McGregor on Tuesday, and then falling to Glen Rose 19-2 on Wednesday.
In the win over McGregor, the Cubs scored three times in the top half of the 7th inning to take the lead and then held on for the win.
