Stephen Lopez, of Clifton, passed away June 1, 2022, from cancer. He was born May 28, 1958 to Enemencio and Lillie (Valero) Lopez.

Stephen had an infectious smile and laugh, outgoing personality, and he never met a stranger. He had many talents as a musician, artist, storyteller, roofer, painter and contractor. A Godly man, he had served as a Pentecostal minister.

Raised in Clifton, he later lived in South Texas, returning to Clifton near his mother. They had a special bond and lived most of the last several years together.

He is survived by his son Zechariah Lopez, wife Lindsey Culp, grandchildren Abigail Lopez, Elijah Lopez, and Matteo Chavez of Gainesville; brother E.K. Lopez, wife Jane of Liberty; sisters Gloria Williams of Houston, and Linda Brown, husband Pete, of Deer Park, and his beloved mother Lillie (Valero) Lopez Brandon, and husband Jim, of Clifton.

He is proceeded in death by his brother David Lopez and father Enemercio Lopez.

Services will be held Thursday, June 9, at 2 p.m. at Clifton Funeral Home.
