She was born on November 17, 1937, in Clifton.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Florence Hill Appleby and David Kent Appleby, and her sister, Sandra Kay Appleby.

Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her children, John, Jeannene and spouse Sherrod, Jacque and spouse Tad, Jill and spouse Mitchell; grandchildren Gary, Tamika, Christian and spouse Stephen, Maeghan, Hunter, Charity, Chandler, Saxon, Zoe, Artiss, Andre, Jewel, Peyton, Gunnar; great grandchildren Brayden, Kinsley, Abigail, Ezra, Cooper, Aria, and Jeremiah.

Judy’s love of reading and learning led her to return to school to earn her Bachelor of Arts and then, Master of Library Science in her mid-thirties - after the birth of all four of her children. After these accomplishments, Judy began her career as a Texas History teacher and moved on as a librarian a few years later where she spent the majority of her years in education, sharing wonderful tales with the students in Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District at Arnold Middle School for more than thirty years.

Judy was also very involved in her church of over fifty years, Fairbanks United Methodist Church. She was active in the choir, a Sunday school teacher, and a leader of the United Methodist Women.

Despite Judy’s many talents and hobbies, such as photography as Grandma Flash, scrapbooking, sewing, painting, playing bridge, and all mediums of arts and crafts, Judy would tell all who asked that her greatest accomplishments in life were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
