There was a small increase of active Covid-19 cases and one death reported from the various schools, hospitals and Bosque County in the recent reporting period. Bosque County has tested 2,755, with 263 positive tests, 203 recoveries, 60 active and 6 fatalities, up from 5 fatalities last week.

Andrew Pritchett indicted for murde

Andrew Conor Pritchett, 28, of Clifton, was indicted for first degree murder on September 04. Pritchett was arrested in June after a physical altercation left a man dead at a local residence.

Fire claims house on Meridian Main Street

Community leaders are asking for donatations to help a Meridian resident whose house burned almost to the foundation last week. Meridian fire fighterers were helping with a lift assist at the 800 block of N Main Wednesday morning, just after midnight, when one them saw smoke coming out of the house next door.
