Art teacher Heather Coe started off the UIL awards ceremony with awards for VASE, or Visual Arts Scholastic Event – Art UIL.
Camy Barsh won a gold medal, Brenna Bertleson won two gold medals, Cambria Blanton won two gold medals and Sophia Johnson won a gold medal.
Coe said her students worked hard on their project and paper to present to judges and did well.
