Earlier this month, Goodall-Witcher Healthcare received 1,170 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and rolled out new scheduling software which allows individuals to self-schedule appointments. All doses of the Pfizer vaccine were administered during their vaccine clinics at the Clifton Civic Center.

On March 10, Goodall-Witcher received 1,100 doses of the Moderna vaccine and scheduled to administer those on March 16 and March 19.

“All spots are full at this time, and we have not been allocated any additional vaccines at this time,” Goodall-Witcher Healthcare Director of Operations Rustin Qualls said Monday.

“We have people certify they meet the current criteria as we are following DSHS and CDC vaccine program guidelines. We are providing to group 1A, 1B and have expanded to 1C along with school and licensed childcare [professionals]. We will be expanding to additional groups as allowed,” said Qualls.

Qualls added that Goodall-Witcher would also be scheduling additional days to administer second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine once they become available.

Those who are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine are encouraged to register online at www. gwhealthcare.org or call their COVID-19 hotline at 254-675-7941.

Johnson County has been designated as a hub for COVID-19 vaccinations and has listed Bosque County as a county they are supporting.

1000 doses of the vaccine will be earmarked for the hub each week and will be given by appointment only.

The sign-up list opens at 9 a.m. every Monday morning and those interested in receiving the vaccine will need to register online at ww.cleburne.net/ covid19vaccine or call 817-357-4456 for assistance. Once all doses have been accounted for, registration will close until the next Monday.

The Cleburne Fire Department is administering the vaccines and is adamant about only allowing individuals who qualify under Phase 1A and 1B in the distribution plan to receive them.

As of 2:15 p.m., the Texas DSHS website reported 1,321 active cases of COVID-19 in Bosque County and 294 probable cases. 1,552 individuals have recovered and there have been 32 deaths.

“The active number is steadily decreasing,” said Bosque County Emergency Management Coordinator Chris Anderson. This comes as more people have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

As of 2:55 p.m. Monday, the Texas DSHS website reported 3,930 individuals had received the first dose of the vaccine and 1,913 had been fully inoculated.

Monday morning Goodall-Witcher Healthcare reported 7,771 people had been tested for COVID-19. 5,495 of those tests were negative while 930 were positive. No tests were pending at the time.

Neither Clifton ISD or Meridian ISD has reported any new cases of COVID-19 on campus.
