Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Clifton Church of Christ with Pastor Drew Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow at Clifton Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Charley Otto Aars, 60, passed from this earthly life to his divine, eternal life at his home in the Norse Community on July 14, 2020. Graveside services were held Friday, July 17, 2020, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery at Norse. Visitation was held Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Clifton Funeral Home.

A giant of a man, Noble Dee Chastain, departed his earthly life to be with his Lord and Savior on July 17, 2020. A memorial service was held Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, in Cranfills Gap, Texas.

James Willis (Sonny) Pitts, 78, of Clifton, passed from this life into eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Goodall-Witcher Hospital. A service was held Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, interment will follow in the Norse Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service out in front of the church under the trees. There will be limited seating in the church due to covid restrictions and facial coverings are required.

Ronald Penn of Clifton, Texas passed away at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. To honor his life, family and friends gathered at Davis Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood, Texas on Saturday, July 11, 2020, for a light lunch and family visitation. Graveside services followed at Cox Cemetery in Elm Grove, Texas with Pat Richardson officiating.

Dorma Jane Word Nickels, 89, of Clifton and formerly of Meridian, passed away at the Goodall-Witcher Nursing Facility in Clifton on July 14, 2020. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Meridian.
