Elmer D. Mulhausen, Jr.

Elmer D. Mulhausen, Jr. passed on to his Father’s House on Sunday, August 21, 2022. He was beloved by generations and respected by all. Born May 23, 1928, in Asherton to Dollie Ruth and Elmer Muhlhausen, Elmer was raised and educated in Oklahoma City during the Great Depression. After serving with the United States Marines during World War II, Elmer married Evelyn Crow in 1947. Their loving fifty-year marriage produced four children, John Muhlhausen, Sheryl Mulhausen, Teresa Federspiel, and David Mulhausen, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Florence Bremer, 88, went home to meet her Lord Jesus on Thursday, August 11, 2022. A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Clifton Funeral Home, with Pastor Brian Barrett officiating. Florence was born on February 18, 1934, in Clifton to Arthur and Bessie (Duval) Cash. She attended Clifton schools where she was a varsity basketball player and was elected Homecoming Queen and Harvest Queen. She graduated from Clifton High School in 1951. Florence spent her working years as an executive secretary and model. She enjoyed painting, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved wearing her bright jewelry. She grew up in the Baptist Church. Florence will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Jerry Hood Stephens, Jr., age 85, of Morgan and formerly of Temple, passed away at his residence on August 17, 2022. He was a simple man and wanted things to remain simple after he passed.

Funeral services for Max Gerald Lund were held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (Norse) Clifton on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Ryan Pederson officiated, Patsy Squyres was organist, Cosper family sang, and Loyd Homerstad tolled the bell “83” times. Scripture readings were Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, Matthew 5:3-12 and John 14:1-4. Congregation read Psalm 23 and prayed “The Apostles Creed” and “The Lord’s Prayer” and “He Leadeth me! O Blessed Thought.” The Cospers sang “Rock of Ages,” “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” and “I Need Thee Every Hour.”

Angie Lea Edmiston

Angie Lea Edmiston, 58, of Dallas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, Sunday, July 31, 2022. Memorial services will be held at Clifton Presbyterian Church, Clifton, Texas on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation with the family in the Fellowship Hall will follow the service. Angie was born on October 11, 1963, in Eastland to Ollie Winfrey and Leon Coy Edmiston. She lived in Arlington during her elementary years. She attended Water Valley Middle School, graduated from Wall High School in 1981, and Angelo State University with a BA in business in 1985.
