Robert Lynn Lewis “Bobby”, made his miraculous entry into this world on November 3, 1968 in Waco Texas. He hit the ground running and never looked back. Bobby was a free spirit who loved life and enjoyed living it at full throttle. He never met a stranger. He was kind to people and was gentle with animals. He was most at home on the back of a horse, roaming wherever the horse wanted to go. Bobby loved to make people laugh and he was very good at it. He loved his family fiercely and his friends dearly. A horrific traffic accident left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. Even becoming a quadriplegic did not dampen his spirit or his light. He was brave, fearless. He was compassionate, loving, and he loved the Lord. He maintained a positive attitude much of the time.

The brightest of lights in his life were his two beautiful granddaughters, Hadleigh Lynn and Breklynn. The body that held him prisoner for the last 17 years was no match for the Lord who decided his time was done. Our merciful Lord freed him of his bondage on Saturday morning August 29, 2020.

Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents Truman and Sammye Strunk, Ira and Ruth Lewis and a brother, James Edward Lewis Jr.

He is survived by his parents, James and Kay Lewis, sister and brother in law, Johnny and Hallie Wilson, all of Valley Mills. One son and daughter in law, Justin and Jacey Lewis and granddaughters Hadleigh Lynn and Breklynn of Ingleside Texas. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles , nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
