Mary Aloot Davidson
Mary Aloot Davidson, 94, returned to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God provided support in her final days and ultimately gave her peace.
Mary was born to Aureliano & Marcela Aloot on September 11, 1925 in Aringay, La Union, Philippines. While working for the U.S. Naval Base in Subic Bay, Philippines, she met Thomas Edward Davidson. Soon after, they fell in love, married, and moved to what would become their family home in Meridian, Texas.
Mary was blessed with a large and adoring family with whom she loved spending time. Her favorite activities included watching westerns & cooking shows, making jokes, preparing delicious meals for others, and engaging in daily prayer.
Mary is survived by her sons, Richard Davidson, James Davidson, Bobby Davidson, William Shaw & their wives; brothers-in-law, Bob Davidson & Russell Davidson; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews; friends too numerous to count. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Davidson and her grandson, Robert Edward Davidson.
A memorial service for Mary will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church at 10am on Saturday, October 5, 2019, with a reception to follow. Father Xavier Silvadasan will officiate the service. Prior to the service, there will be a rosary at 930am, also at Holy Angels Catholic Church located at 1915 W 5th St, Clifton, TX 76634.
