Gwendolyn “Skip” Clark Omenson

Gwendolyn “Skip” Clark Omenson, age 70, passed from this life into eternal life with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 19, 2019. She was born in Aliceville, Al on November 12, 1948, the middle child to Charles H. and Helen L. (Williamson) Clark. Skip graduated from Austin High School in Austin, Tx in 1967 and Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Tx in 1995. Skip married the love of her life, Kenneth Wayne Omenson on January 29, 1972 in Houston, Tx. Ken and Skip lived in Houston, Rockdale, and Lorena, Tx before settling down outside of Clifton. In 1995, Skip found her true calling and passion which was teaching. She taught 6th grade language arts in Gatesville, TX for 19 years and touched the lives of many children. From the time of her birth to her death, Skip nourished all that she met with love, faith and laughter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend who was always ready with a hug and a smile. Those who knew her say the main thing they remember about her was her laugh. It was one of a kind and infectious.

Skip is survived by her husband Kenneth W. Omenson of Clifton, Tx.: daughter, Erica Omenson of Clifton, Tx. : grandsons, Ryan Jarvis of Clifton, Tx. And Eric Jarvis of Waco, Tx. : brother, Charles L. Clark and wife Hope of Waco, Tx. : niece, Michelle Pipes and husband Joe of Fannett, Tx. : great nieces, Kayla Dickens and Erica Pipes and great-great niece Danni Dale. She also leaves behind special friends, Tina, Greg, and Chase Janke.
