Cliff M. Jenson, 79, of Clifton passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at his residence. The family will hold a private memorial service on July 18th, due to Covid restrictions.

Cliff was born to Clifford and Margaret Jenson in Clifton on April 22, 1941. Cliff attended school in Clifton, where he graduated in June 1959 as salutatorian of his class. He was the quarterback of the football team and pitcher on the baseball team. He attended Texas

He attended Texas A&M University. He was a distinguished military graduate with a degree in Geology. He worked six months for Texaco before going into the Army Corps of Engineers. While in the Army, Cliff taught Geology and Soils at the Corp of Engineers School - Fort Belvoir in Alexandria, VA. While in the Army he met his wife, Diana, They married in Maryland and at the completion of his service, they moved to Corpus Christi, TX, where he began his career with Texaco for whom he worked for 31 years. Cliff and Diana also lived in Bellaire, TX, and Slidell, LA before returning to the family farm outside Cranfills Gap. There he settled into farming and raising sheep.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Margaret Jenson; son, Kyle Odell Jenson, and brother in law, Raymond Voss Spring.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diana Jenson; sister, Christi Landau and her husband, Herman Landau; and sister-in-law, Robin Spring; daughter, Rachel Spurgeon and her husband, Jerry Spurgeon; son, Kurt Jenson and his wife, Jeannett Jenson; niece, Dawn McCormack and her husband, Jim McCormack; grandson, Tyler Jenson; granddaughter, Hope Jenson; granddaughter, Morgan Leblanc and her husband, Bryant Leblanc; great-nephew, Hayden McCormack; great-nephew, Dawson McCormack, and great-grandson, Wyatt Lablanc.
