As of 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, the Bosque County Emergency Management Office and officials with the Texas Department of State Health Services' Region 7 reported eight additional cases of Bosque County residents testing positive for COVID-19 and another fatality, as well.

Voters may also contact their respective county elections offices directly for more information about their ballot and appropriate polling location.

■Miguel Angel Estrada, 28, of Whitney, was arrested on September 25 for driving while intoxicated. Edgar Eduardo Napoles, 24, of Valley Mills, was arrested on September 25 for the possession of a controlled substance greater than one gram.

Meridian Parks and Recreation/Grassroots volunteers paint the handrails that were installed last year at the Memorial Library Building on North Main Street and at the Meridian Civic Center, on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Volunteers Jim Ballard, Don Hatley, Meridian City Couniclmember Jackye Hatley and Paul Hardcastle rolled up their sleeves and painted the iron railings black, sprucing up the curb appeal of both locations.
