Tracy William Bodiford, 46, of Clifton, was arrested on September 18 for the possession of a controlled substance less than or equal to one gram. Jeanna Lynn Kennedy, 34, of Houston, was arrested on September 18 for the possession of marijuana more than two ounces.

Bosque Auditor explains questionable items in budget

Bosque County commissioners recently passed the budget and tax rate for next year, causing a grumble heard throughout the community. Although the tax rate will not change from the previous year, residents can expect their annual property tax bill to rise in order to keep funds coming into the county.

NCBC Hosts Annual Fundraiser

The National Championship Barbeque Cookoff hosted its annual auction and BBQ dinner Saturday evening where guests bid on items in the silent auction, enjoyed a delicious BBQ dinner, and participated in a live auction afterwards. Proceeds from the fundraiser went to the Meridian Parks and Recreation Department. Turn to Page 3 for more!
