• Eric Steven Lara, 21, of Cleburne, was arrested on November 6 for the possession of marijuana less than two ouces. • Dustin Shay Hunter, 40, of Royce City, was arrested on November 7 for arson with the intent to damage a habitat or place of worship, with a motion to revoke warrant.

Gap taking donations for Wreaths Across America

For the third year in a row the Cranfills Gap cemeteries will be part of the Wreaths Across America program. Last year, thanks to your generosity, we were able to lay a Christmas wreath on each of over 290 veteran’s graves at Cranfills Gap, Boggy and Rock Church cemeteries. No one was left out; each veteran was honored, and we would love to be able to do the same this year.

No re-plat for Spring Creek subdivision

The answer was no to two requests from Spring Creek Subdivision residents who asked the commissioners for permission to re-plat their property within the subdivision. William and Sharon Nelson went first, then neighbor Paul Adams followed, but the answer was the same in two unanimous votes rejecting the requests.

Veterans Day 2020 in Cranfills Gap was one to remember as they dedicated their Veterans Memorial in front of an unexpectedly large crowd last Wednesday morning. Pictured above, Colonel Jeanne Hansen Bayless spoke to the audience about the importance of remembering all those honored on the stones and their stories. The ceremony also featured a musical performance from Reverend Brian Barrett as well as speeches from local and county officials, among others. Pool talks about time as judge

The recent resignation of Bosque County Judge Don Pool might have seemed sudden to some of us in attendance during the November 9, 2020 commissioners meeting, but it wasn’t sudden at all according to the Judge.

Bosque County suffered one additional death last week, bringing the county’s total deaths to 14. Nationwide, new COVID-19 cases are soaring with 100,000 or more cases per day for the last 8 days.

Nationally, over 10 million people have tested positively for COVID-19, and fortunately Bosque County has not suffered like many other communities. Judge Don Pool gave his weekly COVID-19 update at the Bosque County Commissioners meeting saying there were 434 positive cases according to the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.
