City swears in council members following Nov. election results

Business was short at Meridian’s December City Council meeting Monday evening at the Meridian Senior Center. Re-elected incumbents Shawn Stauffer, Sharon Wilson and Jackye Hatley, along with new council member Meghann Giesecke were sworn into office by Meridian City Administrator Marie Garland.

Commissioners sign off on solar farm rebates

Two solar farms planned for the eastern part of Bosque County were up for approval for a Tax Abatement Agreement at the Bosque County Commissioners meeting Monday. These projects, the Belltown Dileo Solar Project and the Belltown Fairview Solar Project, when combined, are projected to bring $250,000,000.00 in increased evaluations to our county when completed. The valuation information was provided to the commissioners by a representative from Belltown Power Texas, LLC, during the meeting Monday morning.
