As of 12:55 p.m. Monday, the Texas DSHS reported 1,377 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in Bosque County, up only one from last week, and an additional 311 cases were probable. Only 11 cases were active, and 1,643 individuals had fully recovered. The number of deaths in the county remains at 34.

Bill Beck graduated from Syracuse High School in Indiana in 1946 as salutatorian of his class and was awarded an academic scholarship as he enrolled at Indiana University. In a special session of the Meridian City Council Monday evening, members met with EDC Board President Ron Rieke and members of the Meridian Parks and Rec. board to amend the EDC budget so work on the Chisholm Trail Plaza, which will be built at the site of the old jail, could continue.
