In the Christmas spirit of giving, the Bosque Film Society will be delivering the gift of movie-going to the public with its Christmas Free Double Feature on Tuesday, Dec. 21 by presenting the classic and unique “The Polar Express,” followed by the comedic and much-loved “Elf” at the historic Cliftex Theatre.

The United Daughters of the Confederacy held a ceremony on Nov. 14 in Stephenville to honor multiple veterans, where Clifton resident James Walter Babb was a recipient of the Cross of Military Service Medal.

The Bosque County Commissioners called to order a regular session meeting on Monday, Dec. 6.

It was a busy weekend in Clifton and surrounding areas with the return of the Norwegian Country Christmas Home Tour, presented by the Clifton Chamber of Commerce. Clifton was bustling Saturday with locals and visitors alike full of holiday spirit.

The following list of indictments were handed down to Bosque County District Clerk Juanita Miller on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021.

-Kristan Breanne Vanostrand, of Anson, was arrested by DPS Trooper Knutson on Nov. 26, 2021, for the possession of marijuana less than two ounces.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Meridian as storefronts and parks are decked out with lights and trimming for the holiday season. Saturday evening the City of Meridian turned out for the lighted Christmas parade that went down Main Street and ended up in Meridian Park.

The Meridian Parks and Recreation board will present “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” as part of their Free Outdoor Movie Night at the John A. Lomax Amphitheater in Meridian. Cartoons and previews start at 5:30 p.m. with the main feature starting at 6:30 p.m.
