Clifton City Park sees a face lift

Bosque County 4-H’s Junior Master Gardeners partnered with the City of Clifton to plant beds at the entrance to Clifton City Park. As part of a learning opportunity, the project was partly funded by the Bosque County Extension Office.

CHS celebrates Academic UIL excellence with awards

Art teacher Heather Coe started off the UIL awards ceremony with awards for VASE, or Visual Arts Scholastic Event – Art UIL. Camy Barsh won a gold medal, Brenna Bertleson won two gold medals, Cambria Blanton won two gold medals and Sophia Johnson won a gold medal.

As Memorial Day celebrates our soldiers who fell during battle across many wars, Armed Forces Day celebrates all our current active military.

Early runoff voting ends Friday

Early voting in the May 24 primary runoff elections ends Friday, May 20. Under state law, voters who cast ballots in either party’s primary election must vote only in the same party’s runoff election. Voters who did not cast ballots in the primary may vote in either party’s runoff election.

Old Settlers Spring Festival

The Bosque County Cowboy Church held their first ever Old Settlers Spring Festival at the Bosque Bottoms in Meridian. Kicking off Friday morning and ending Sunday afternoon, the event hosted over 30 vendors from near and far with unique, handcrafted items such as quilts, baked goods, household décor, jewelry, Native American décor and jewelry, and purses.
