Remembering Jackson Newton

Clifton High School student Jackson Newton was remembered with a Celebration of Life service as the community filled Clifton ISD’s Performing Arts Center. Jackson passed away in a single car accident on June 7, 2022. He was entering his senior year at the time of his death.

Beskow takes Best of Show at 2022 BAC Quilt Show

Judy Beskow took home Best of Show in the 2022 BAC Quilt Show held in Clifton June 10- 11th for her Art Quilt, Octopus’ Garden. Beskow also collected the Best Handwork award for her hand pieced, machine quilted entry, Flora Nova.

TEA directed to make schools safer

Gov. Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Education Agency to ensure school facilities are made safer in the wake of the killing of 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary in Uvalde.

Bosque County indictments

The following list of indictments was handed down to the Bosque County District Clerk, Juanita Miller, on June 3, 2022. -Sherrian Lee Morris, 59, of Clifton, was indicted for the possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver Penalty Group 1 four grams or more but less than 200 grams, first degree felony.
