The Bosque County Commissioners Court is considering using a law firm to collect outstanding fees and fines for the county and district courts. Three different law firms gave presentations on their collection services during the commissioners court meeting on Monday, December 5.

- Kimberly Lee Harrison, of Fort Worth, was arrested by Clifton PD Perry on Nov. 17, 2022, for forgery financial instrument $750 or less than $2,500, if at trial; and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clifton is scheduled to hold its annual drive-thru nativity this coming Sunday evening starting at 6 p.m. The nativity promises to be the most inspirational 20-30 minutes you will spend this Christmas time.

The Clifton Police Department is offering free visits to check on people’s residences with the city limits while they’re away for the holidays. “We will go by and check things out and make sure you aren’t being burgled while you’re gone,” the Clifton Police said in a social media post.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is inviting nature enthusiasts to its inaugural Whitney Lake Christmas Bird Count on Sunday, December 18.

The Clifton Civic Improvement Society discussed future plans for its annual turkey dinner during its meeting on Wednesday, December 7, at the Clifton Civic Center. The dozen members in attendance voted to wait until later in 2023 to set the ticket price, but the group decided to increase the number of tickets sold to the community for its long-time fundraiser.

A mental health fair will be held at Clifton High School on Thursday, January 26, 2023. This fair is the second at the high school campus to raise mental health awareness and overall health awareness to area students and the rest of the Bosque County community.
