The Bosque Film Society recently released the names of the 12 films featured on its monthly “Film Appreciation Nights At the Movies Series” for 2024 to its worldwide membership base. The BFS’s membership selected the films during its Christmas meeting on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

Wednesday, January 3, 2024 ALL DAY -- The City of Meridian's office is back to normal hours of operation 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Bosque County 4-H programs are back in full swing after the winter break. The following is a brief calendar of events for the week of January 4-9, 2024.

Bosque County Feral Hog Abatement Program will be ramping up again in early January 2024. The next class of the program is at 12 p.m.

The 24th annual Central Texas Beef Cattle Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Meridian Civic Center, located at 309 West River Street in Meridian. Registration will start at 5 p.m. with a steak dinner and program at 5:30 p.m.

The Blackland Income Growth Program seeks to improve the overall agricultural and agribusiness economy of the Blackland area. The Annual BIG Conference is scheduled for January 9-10, 2024, at the BASE Extraco Events Center in Waco.

Wednesday, December 27, 2023 ALL DAY -- Meridian Independent School District will be closed through Tuesday, January 9, in observance of the holiday, winter break. ALL DAY – The office of The Clifton Record / Meridian Tribune newspaper will be open during regular hours this week, but will be closed on Monday, January 1, in observance of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
