Mental health, wellness fair set Jan. 26

A mental health fair will be held at Clifton High School on Thursday, January 26, 2023. This fair’s intention is to raise awareness about mental health to area students and the Bosque County community.

‘Buddy Check Day’ set Wednesday

The 11th day of each month is Buddy Check Day to remind Texas veterans to check in with other veterans. By getting in touch with others, people who have served in the armed forces may enjoy comradery, check on each other’s well-being and connect another veteran with a service they can use.

McCamey to speak on Saturday

The Bosque County Genealogical and Historical Society (BCGHS) is starting 2023 with its next program in their United States Migration Patterns series on Saturday, January 14, at 1 p.m. Written and presented by LeAnne McCamey, this program is titled “Why They Left, Where They Went, and the Stories They Left Behind.” The meeting will be at the Clifton Civic Center located at 403 West Third Street in Clifton.

Filing for hospital district election to open Jan. 18

Applications for a place on the May ballot for a seat on the Bosque County Hospital District’s Board of Directors will be available on Wednesday, January 18. The deadline to submit the application is Friday, February 17.
