Holiday hours quandry

According to the Bosque County Commissioners, a phrase that inadvertently had been added to the Bosque County employee handbook regarding holiday benefits for dispatchers, deputies and jailers in the course of editing and corrections, simply had to be deleted. It was the phrase “dispatchers, deputies and jailers will bank holiday hours according to current shift. For example if the shift is 10 hours, the employee will receive 10 hours banked holidays.”

But Bosque County Sheriff ’s Office employees saw that action during the Oct. 30 commissioners’ court as a lack of appreciation for their work and dedication, the last straw before applying for jobs elsewhere.
