Filling the void in toy boxes

Sometimes home is not the safest place to be as a child. Sometimes authorities may decide to take a child and its siblings out of the home environment. And that usually happens quickly and most children do not get to pack everything they own when they are removed from their home.

They leave afraid of what lies ahead, without a bed, a pillow, clothing, toys and personal hygiene products. The Bosque County Child Protective Services board provides the basic necessities for these children as they wait to be placed in new or temporary homes and these items are stocked in the county’s Rainbow Room. The BCCPS board accepts donations year round for this facility. And around Christmas time, the board supplies these children in foster homes with Christmas presents also
