IREDELL — In fire-breathing Dragon style Friday night, Iredell took a huge win from the Morgan Eagles 62-6, in two quarters.

Iredell brought in five touchdowns in the first quarter, followed by another three in the second quarter, before Morgan managed their first and only touchdown with less than a minute on the clock.

Chance Colbough tagged the first two TDs for Iredell with a 26-yard interception return and a 11-yard pass from Brady Lee. Jay Epley scored the third TD on a 28-yard run, followed by two TDs brought in by Manuel Vergara, one on a 32-yard one, the other on a 58-yard run. Four of the five PATs were grabbed by Manual Vergara during the quarter.

Coming into the second quarter, Jay Epley brought in a 35-yard run, followed by Ricardo Vergara with a 57-yard pass from Lee, and Ryan Wilson with a 29-yard run. The three PATs were again good, for the final score of 62.

Lee passed for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Rushing were M. Vergara for 90, J. Epley for 63, and Ryan Wilson and Lee for 30 yards each.

Ryan Wilson led in tackles with 15, while M. Vergara recovered two fumbles and had eight tackles. Others on defense were B. Lee (8), Chris McDonald (6), Colbough (3) and one interception, Wilson (5), Epley (4), Brent Fowler (2), and R. Vergara (2).
