   BLOCKERS READY — As Manuel Vergara swings wide on the carry, blockers Chris McDonald and Ryan Wilson are ready to block the Lions.  — Staff Photo By Carol Spicer CRANFILLS GAP — Taking on the Cranfills Gap Lions on Friday night, the Iredell Dragons showed how much fire they could breath during the second half of the game.

Taking a slow leap in the first half, the Dragons only ran for two touchdowns, but following halftime, the Dragons came back full of fire.

In the first quarter, Ryan Wilson took in a four-yard run for the first touchdown, followed in the second quarter by Brady Lee carrying in an 11-yard run.

Then in the third quarter, Lee brought in the first TD on a five-yard run with 6:47 on the clock. Jay Epley caught a 48-yard pass from Lee for the second TD and Manuel Vergara got the two-point conversion. With :01 on the clock, Wilson brought a one-yard run over the line for the third touchdown, and the score on the board read 32-0. In the fourth quarter, it was much the same as Lee brought in the first TD on an 11-yard run, followed by Ricardo Vergara catching a 31-yard pass from Lee for the second. The third, and final TD had Manuel Vergara catching a 54-yard pass from Lee with 2:49 on the clock.

QB Brady Lee passed for 241 yards and three touchdowns in the game, while M. Vergara caught four for 114 yards and one TD; Epley caught two for 57 yards and one TD; R. Vergara caught one for 31 yards and one TD; and Wilson caught one for 21 yards. Rushers included Lee (97 yards), Wilson (84 yards), and M. Vergara (30 yards).

On defense for the Dragons were Wilson, 20 T; M. Vergara, 11 T; Lee and R. Vergara, 8 T and one interception each; Chris McDonald, 7 T; Epley, 4 T; Wilson, 3 T; and Brent Fowler, 1 T.
