RIESEL — The Lady Cubs beat Riesel 40-39 on Tuesday, Nov. 17, in hot cage action on the boards at Riesel. The JV Lady Cubs also won, 48-13, that evening.

“It was a back and forth game the entire night,” said Coach Harding.  “It was good to pull out a close game. We showed some poise at the end of the game to close it out.”

Scoring for the Lady Cubs were Tara Croford and Reagan Newman with nine points each; Halie Applegate, eight; Paige Culp and Kaylee Harvey, four each; and Shandy Pilcher and Ashley Lynch, three each.

The Lady Cubs stand at 2-1 in the season.

JV Lady Cubs

“It was a great team effort on the offensive end with everyone on the team scoring,” said Coach Hunt. “We had a big lead after the first quarter (18-0) and we just built on it from there.

Scoring for the JV Lady Cubs were: Dakota Mayr, 14; Laura Wilkins, 12; Shelby Basham, nine; Kayla Luckett, six; Kate-Lynn Richards, four; and Kayla Rice, three.

The team stands at 5-0 in the season.
