Just a note to say thanks for the articles on the Iredell VFW Fish Fry. With everyone’s help it was another banner year for the post event. We fed over 450 people and received some nice donations for homeless vets. |

We have been, and are being, blessed with some picture perfect weather. Sky light blue and not a cloud of no kind in the sky. Moon seems to come up real early, and full, and keeps the whole country lit up through most of the night... |

We’ve had some more fine rain; and missed some them weather folks thought we might be gonna git. Them cats with all the sophisticated equipment cain’t even outguess Texas weather. There just ain’t no way. When them temps go from the nineties down to the fifties one day to the next... |

A column appearing in The Clifton Record in 1920 was recently unearthed by Clifton’s Ann Wiland. It was written by then-school superintendent E.M. Pharr and relates to school drop-outs, a controversial issue even today. |
