CLIFTON  With the filing closed for the March 2 Primary Election, several seats are up for election in the County. Early voting will begin Feb. 16, and close Feb. 26.

Seats in Bosque County up for election, and candidates, include:

• County Court at Law Judge — David B. Christian, incumbent (R).

• County Judge — Cole World, incumbent (D).

• Commissioner Pct. 2 — Durwood Koonsman, incumbent (D), Lasaro (Larry) Villalovos (R), and David R. Hankins (D).

• Commissioner Pct. 4 — Jimmy Schmidt, incumbent (D), and Joe V. Guinn (R).

• District Clerk — Juanita Miller, incumbent (R).

• County Clerk — Betty Spitzer Outlaw, incumbent (D).

• County Treasurer — Diana Wellborn, incumbent (D).

• Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1 — Bennett Morrow, incumbent (D), Rick Goon (D), and Ray Ballmann (R).

• Justice of the Peace, Pct. 2 — Jamie Zander, incumbent (D), and Walt Lewis (R).

If necessary, the primary run-off election will be held April 13.

The General Election will be held Nov. 2, 2010.
