Clifton Slogan Contest, Town Hall Meeting Set Print E-mail

 CLIFTON — The communityhas been asked to help devise a slogan for the City of Clifton.

The Clifton Record is making the solicitation for ideas on behalf of the city to promote the contest and accept  ideas from the public for a slogan that will effectively market the City of Clifton.

After judges choose the top 10 slogans from those entered, a vote will be taken by citizens over a two-week period. Slogan ideas are due by 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27, at The Record office (drop off or e-mail to < This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it >.

The top 10 will be listed in the newspapers of Dec. 2 and Dec. 9, from which voters may choose. Votes (one per person) may be submitted at the newspaper office or via e-mail.

The top slogan will be announced at a Town Hall meeting on Monday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. at the CLIFTEX Theatre.

Several ideas that have previously been submitted include:

• Hometown Central Texas.

• The Jewel of Texas.

• Multi-facinating.

• The Gem on the Bosque.

• It’s a Great Life.

Whether these make the final “top 10” cut depends upon what else is submitted.
