CLIFTON — Clifton area citizens are now able to participate in the Angel Tree Program which is entering its 22nd year and is supported by Clifton church members and area persons who provide clothing, food, and toys for those who are determined to be in need. This year, trees which contain the toy wishes of Clifton children have been placed at the following businesses: • BJ’s Western Wear, 410 W. 5th Clifton. • The Works (formerly the Beach Club), 712. Ave. G, Hwy. 6 South, Clifton. • Brookshire’s Food Store, 900 FM 3220, Highway 6 North, Clifton. Each person may take one or more wishes from the tree. Angel Tree gifts must be returned to the store from where they were taken by Dec. 14. Those receiving Angel Tree help have in the past expressed extreme appreciation of the generosity which makes Christmas possible for them, said a spokesman.
