Using trucks and a tractor, Pat Wilson, Terry Boyle, and David Snider positioned the wreck for the following evening training session.

So on Nov. 9,, the department trained several of its newer members on stabilization methods when approaching a wrecked vehicle.

“The fire department cannot move a vehicle if there is someone inside, and when the vehicle is up on its side, or on a hill, it must be stabilized prior to trying to remove someone safely from within,” said Boyle. The teams stabilized the vehicle during the first training session. The donated vehicle will see several more training sessions before the department will utilize it to hold a vehicle fire for training.
