Clifton Municipal Court Files Report With City Council Print E-mail

 CLIFTON — Clifton Municipal Court’s monthly report for October, from Judge Alvin James, was given Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Clifton City Council meeting.

Sixty-two violations were logged and $1,189.70 in fines were received, along with $3,120.30 in court costs.

October violations charged, with number of occurrences, were:

No valid Texas driver’s license, 10;  unrestrained child under eight, 2; violate city ordinance high grass and weeds, 1; fail to maintain financial responsibility, 8; expired registration, 5; driving while license invalid, 2; speeding (1-14 mph over limit), 4; speeding (15-20 mph over limit), 3; public intoxication, 1; permit animal/fowl to run at large, 2; assault by contact, 2; minor in possession of tobacco, 1; theft under $50, 3; disregard stop sign, 3; expired MVI (inspection), 4; possession of narcotic paraphernalia, 2; expired driver’s license, 1; defective tail lights, 1; failed to yield right of way, 1; minor in possession of alcohold, 2; assault by threat, 1; minor in consumption of alcoholic beverage, 3.
