CLIFTON — Bosque County Genealogical Society will host a luncheon and game day on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Clifton Civic Center beginning at 11:30 a.m. Cost of the meal is $7 and there will be a variety of soups, sandwiches, desserts and beverages available. “Make plans now to come eat lunch and bring your game of choice — cards, dominoes, chickenfoot, whatever — and spend the afternoon with friends, your club members, or meet some new people,” said a spokesman. Proceeds are for Bosque County Genealogical Society library materials. The next regular meeting will be held Dec. 3 at the Bosque County Collection in Meridian. Everyone will participate in a roundtable discussion of ideas, brickwalls, successes, failures, or any other subject. A time limit will be decided, and everyone will have a chance to join in the discussion or ask questions. The meeting will start promptly at 1 pm. Participants are encouraged to bring their work in progress or genealogy family histories for a show-and-tell.
