United Daughters Of The Confederacy Honor Blue Star Mothers Print E-mail

   BLUE STAR MOTHERS HONORED — UDC members Barbara Peppers, Kay Lee, Gloria Wilson, Wilma Reed, Blue Star Mother Tal Hogue, UDC member Beverly George, Blue Star Mother Sharon Bryce, Guest Linda O’Bar, UDC members Tracy Young, Shirley Vaughn and Carolyn Cotton are among the Blue Star Mothers recently honored. GRANBURY — Dixie’s Daughters Chapter 2650 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy recently held a tea at the home of Chapter President Gloria Wilson to honor the Granbury Area Blue Star Mothers’ Group. Each attendee was asked to bring a tea cup and saucer to donate to the Blue Star Mothers’ Wounded Warriors’ Operation Tea Time. 

The tea cups will used at a tea for soldiers wounded in the War on Terror, their family members, and care-giving staff. The tea will be held in the spring of 2010. Over two dozen sets were collected at the tea. Another 18 sets were donated by members of other UDC chapters.
