HILLSBORO — John W. Watson of Cleburne, known as the “Texas Traveler,” will be guest speaker at the Monday, Nov. 2, meeting of the Hill County Genealogical Society.

Watson has written articles on historic events for the Cleburne Times Review since November 2005 and was a contributor to the Cleburne Eagle prior to that. He has written several books based on historical facts.

The HCGS meets monthly in the Hill County Courthouse Annex meeting room at 126 South Covington Street in Hillsboro at 6:30 p.m. Persons interested in history and genealogy are always welcome. Fellowship and refreshments follow the meeting. Speakers are available after the program to answer questions.
