The Church of the Redeemed MERIDIAN — The Church of The Redeemed, located between Meridian and Iredell, was founded in March 2004 and recently has created a new ministry – “The Closet of Blessings,” which was started as an outreach of the church in the event of fire, flood, or storm damage, where most of the communities come to the need of those who need help.

“We want to help anyone in Bosque County that has a need of clothes or other household items, regardless of circumstances,” said Gail Woody. “With today’s economy, many families may not be able to provide school clothes or shoes for their children. We are here to help them.

“We are not a store, and there is no charge for what we provide. Those that need help are urged to contact us and someone will make arrangements to meet with them.”

Lay workers of The Closet of Blessings collect clothes, shoes, household good, and furnishings from donors, then offer them to low income or no income families.

Anyone in need may contact Woody at 364-2575, Margaret Kiphen at 435-2761, or Barbara Merrywell at 435-2289, by leaving a message for a return call.

The Church of the Redeemed is a nondenominational church open to everyone from any and all Christian backgrounds. It is located at 12307 Hwy. 6, six miles north of Meridian. Services are held at 11 a.m., and Bible Study is held at 10 a.m.
