MERIDIAN —  Diana Wellborn has announced her candidacy for the office of Bosque County Treasurer.

“My experience working in different areas of county government has been a great asset in this job,” said Wellborn.

Randy Outlaw Pullin hired Wellborn as Assistant County Treasurer in 2002.

“I was in that position for six years before she took an early retirement. When I was appointed to finish her term, Randy’s assistance made for a smooth transition,” said Wellborn.

“I have been serving as your Treasurer since September 2008. I have enjoyed working with the citizens of Bosque County and ask you to allow me continue to do so,” said Wellborn. “My husband Bobby and I live in Iredell as do our two sons and their families. My family has deep roots in this beautiful county and I am proud to be your Treasurer.”
