VALLEY MILLS — A benefit for Valley Mills Public Library will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Valley Mills High School cafeteria.

Dinner, auction, and dance proceeds will help in the expansion and improvements at the library to help better serve the community, say promoters. “The library needs more room for technology equipment and urges everyone to come out and support the library with an evening of fun for a great cause.”

The dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a dine-in or take-out option. The menu includes sliced brisket, potato salad, beans, tea, peach cobbler, and all the trimmings for $6 (10 and under $4).

Eagle Canyon Band will provide music from 8 to 10:30 p.m. for listening and dancing.

A live auction, silent auction, door prizes, and a raffle will run throughout the evening featuring prizes from area merchants.

Cost to attend the dance is $5 (single), or $8 (couple), with children age 12 and under admitted free.
