Rescue Riders: ‘All Roads Lead To BARK’ Poker Run Slated Oct. 17 Print E-mail

 CLIFTON — Bosque Animal Rescue Kennel's (BARK) Rescue Riders Poker Run fundraiser will be held in conjuction with FallFest on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Created for the motorcycle crowd, the run will take riders on a scenic trip, with stops at several hangouts in Bosque and Somervell Counties.
The first bike will leave from the Cooler Center in Clifton at 10:30 a.m. and will return to the same place in the afternoon. Stops along the way will include the Horny Toad in Cranfills Gap, Cody's Leather Shop in Hico, Loco Coyote in Glen Rose, Weber's BBQ in Walnut Springs, and Zur Autobahn at Harmony Road near Meridian.
The day will conclude with the street dance and live entertainment from the Morticians beginning at 6:30 p.m. downtown. Entry fee is $30. Additional riders are free. All participants will be asked to sign a release of liability the morning of the event.
Bunkhouse BBQ in Clifton is offering a meal for an additional $8 per rider.
