 Funeral services for Johnny Charles (Tucker) Anz will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, in Zion United Church at Womack, conducted by the Rev. R. Michael Vaughan. Burial will be in Clifton Memorial Park.
Anz passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at Sunset Home. He was born on Sept. 7, 1931, in Clifton to Charlie and Alice Lena Anz.
He attended school at Pleasant Hill and Womack.
He worked at Wilsons’ Building Materials, then did carpentry for R.Q. Allen. He also worked for the Cattle Company and Livestock Commission until he retired in 1996.
He married Gladys Prescher on Sept. 19, 1959. The couple had four daughters, Barbara, Pam, Rhonda, and Crissy.
His hobbies included gardening, shelling pecans, fishing, reading Westerns, and watching rodeos.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Franklin Anz, Delbert Anz, and Harold Anz; and sister, Nora Dell Allen.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Anz of Clifton; daughters, Barbara Malish and husband, Eddie, of Austin; Pam Harvey and husband, Robin, of Clifton; Rhonda Evans and husband, Bobby, of Clifton; and Crissy Billman and husband, Michael, of Waco; grandchildren, Mark and Emily Malish of Austin, Kaylee and Sean Harvey of Clifton, Ty Evans of Waco, Garrett Evans of Clifton, Lane Billman of Waco; brother, Clarence Anz of Clifton; sisters, Rosa Lee Dahl of McGregor, Dorothy Humphries of Clifton, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Clifton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
