Funeral services for Frankie Elizabeth Sedberry-Willis, 83, of Clifton were held at First Baptist Church of Clifton on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Clifton with the Rev. R. Patterson officiating. Burial was in Oswald Cemetery.
Frankie Elizabeth Sedberry was born on Sept. 24, 1926, in Clifton , the sixth child of Willie and Alice Watley Sedberry. She passed away at Providence Hospital on Nov. 29, 2009.
She attended Dunbar School in Clifton.
On March 28, 1947, she married James Davis Willis, and the couple had four children.
She was a retired laundry supervisor at Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Davis Willis Sr., a son, James Davis Willis, Jr.; three sisters, Ellen Jackson, Pauline Sedberry, and Dorothy Sedberry Kelley; and three brothers, E.B. Sedberry, Clarance Sedberry, and Willie Sedberry, Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, Willie Miller, Evelyn M. Crawford, Doreatha Willis, all of Clifton; one sister, Hattie Dooley of Clifton; one brother, Allison Sedberry of Lubbock; 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers were Joe Bible, Justin Jackson, Bernard Watley, Zachary Sedberry, Corey Sedberry, and Ron Sedberry.
