Graveside services for Raymond Eursey Bright, 73, were held on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Hico Cemetery.

Bright was born on June 13, 1936, in Hammon, Okla., to Clarence Eursey and Mossie Davis Bright. He passed away on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, in Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.

He was married to helen Joy Garrett and served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Roy Allen Bright.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Bright of Clifton; two daughters, Susie and Sherri; three sons, Raymond Allen, Mark Anthony, and Russell; two sisters, Lennie Maye and Lyvonne Marie, and two brothers, Clarence and Ray; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rutledge Funeral Home of Hico was in charge of arrangements.
