CLIFTON — The Bosque Art Center Tin Building Theatre will present two free performances of the one-hour, two-act comedy, “The Queen of Bingo,” as its traditional summer melodrama on July 4 and 5. In a departure from traditional melodramas of the past 27 years, “The Queen of Bingo” is by reservation only.

The comedy, in the tradition of the classic “Carol Burnett Show,” features sisters Babe and Sis, both on the other side of 50, who want to add a little fun and excitement to their lives.

As an added bonus, the audience joins in the fun by playing a real game of bingo, where a lucky audience member wins a free frozen turkey at each performance. The play is being directed by TBT Managing Director Jan Derrickson, with assistance from Bryan Davis and Arnie Derrickson.

Unlike summer melodramas of the past, where seating was unlimited, “The Queen of Bingo” has dinner theater seating to fit the play’s scenario of a bingo hall, so reservations are required. For a reservation to either performance, contact Bosque Art Center at (254) 675-3724 or 675-2278. Freewill donations will be encouraged to defray expenses of the production. The performances are scheduled for Saturday, July 4, at 2 p.m., as well as Sunday, July 5, at 2 p.m.
