MERIDIAN — Motorcyclists from throughout Central Texas will roar back into Bosque County on Sunday, Nov. 22, for the Bosque County Child Protective Service Board’s 17th annual toy run benefitting the local Santa’s Angel Tree program. The bikes will converge on the Meridian Civic Center, arriving around noon bearing gifts that will eventually find their way under Christmas trees all over the county. Locally, bikers can meet at Papa Doc’s in Meridian at 8 a.m. for breakfast and to coordinate their hook-up with other bikers. This group will depart for McGregor which is the central forming area for the others. They will leave McGregor at approximately 11 a.m., headed to Meridian. Local law enforcement agencies will be on stand-by ready to provide smooth passage through towns on the route. At Meridian, the bikers will be honored guests at a chili lunch prepared by Meridian’s own Chili Gang. All bikers are invited to participate. The event will be conducted regardless of the weather. Additionally, all local Santa’s Angel Tree representatives are encouraged to be at the civic center to assist with the project.
