Pauline Gloff Walsleben, age 98, of Valley Mills went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2014. Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Monday at the Valley Mills First United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Memorials may be made to Valley Mills First United Methodist Church. Pauline was born on May 22, 1916, in Womack to Albert and Martha Koreth Gloff. She was married to Albert Walsleben on Dec. 12, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was well known in Valley Mills, Clifton, and Cayote. She was very active in community affairs and the First United Methodist Church of Valley Mills. She received her 50 year pin from the United Methodist Women. Pauline had worked for the First United Methodist Church as custodian along with her family for many years. She is survived by her four children: Harold Walsleben of Kerrville, Alleen Tibbs of Valley Mills, David Walsleben and wife Betty of Hewitt and Linda Garten of Valley Mills; one sister; Ruby Lillian Howard of Ft. Worth. Grandchildren; Brent Walsleben of Houston, Donna Walsleben of Dallas, Blair Walsleben Crane and husband Rob of Dallas, Sharon Sowell of Valley Mills, Rob Fisk of China Spring, Kara Walsleben Haley and husband Rocky of Midlothian, Joe Garten of Los Angeles, California, and Amanda Garten Board and husband Jeremy of Columbus, Ohio; and great-grandchildren Kaden Fisk, Kenadee Fisk, Colton Haley, Julianna Haley and twins Sophia and Hannah Crane. The family would like to thank the Lutheran Sunset Home for the excellent care she received and Lutheran Sunset Hospice in Clifton, Texas.
